Highland Park is a 150-acre arboretum in Rochester, New York, originally designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and gifted to the city in 1888. One of the nation's first municipal arboretums, it is home to over 1,200 lilac shrubs spanning more than 500 varieties — the foundation of Rochester's beloved annual Lilac Festival, the largest of its kind in North America.
