Ray Wright Room 120 at Eastman School of Music

Room 120 at the Eastman School of Music is named for Rayburn Wright (1922–1990), the DownBeat Jazz Education Hall of Fame professor who founded Eastman's renowned Jazz Studies & Contemporary Media department in 1970. A working heart of Eastman's jazz program, the Ray Wright Room hosts the Rochester International Jazz Festival's daily Jazz Workshops, where audiences meet, learn from, and perform alongside professional musicians.
