Grammy-winning mandolinist and MacArthur “Genius Grant” recipient Chris Thile comes to the Smith. A genre-defying talent, Thile, hailed by NPR and The Guardian, founded Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek, collaborating with Yo-Yo Ma and Fiona Apple. Known for hosting Live from Here, he tours with Nickel Creek’s 2023 album Celebrants and performs his innovative ATTENTION! song cycle. His new show, The Energy Curfew Music Hour, and one-man show, The Manhattan Variations, showcase his creativity.
