Djabe is Hungary's premier jazz/world fusion band, founded in Budapest in 1995 by guitarist Attila Égerházi and bassist Tamás Barabás. Their sound weaves jazz with Hungarian folk music, African rhythms, and progressive rock influences. The band has performed in 44 countries and is recognized internationally for their long-running collaboration with Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett. They are recipients of the Hungarian Music Award and the eMeRTon Award for Best World Music Band.
