Dr. Doreen Ketchens is a New Orleans jazz clarinetist known as "Lady Louis" for her powerful high-note technique rooted in Dixieland and traditional jazz. Born and raised in the Tremé neighborhood, she has led Doreen's Jazz New Orleans as a fixture on Royal Street in the French Quarter for decades. She has performed for four U.S. presidents, appeared on HBO's Treme and Netflix's Queer Eye, and won OffBeat Magazine's Best Clarinetist award in both 2016 and 2023.
