Part of the 2026 Rochester International Jazz Festival — a free show at Jazz Street Stage on Fri, Jun 26, 2026, 3:45 PM, featuring High School & College Jazz Bands, Mike Kaupa’s ECMS Ensemble & Junior Jazz, Robin Mckelle & the Flytones Stax Soul Sessions. Robin McKelle is a Rochester-born jazz and soul vocalist whose alto voice has drawn comparisons to Ella Fitzgerald. She released her debut album of swing-era standards in 2006 and has since explored R&B, blues, and soul across several records, collaborating with NEA Jazz Master Kenny Barron and sharing stages with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Bobby McFerrin. Her album Impressions of Ella marks a return to her jazz roots.
